About Me
Background
I started my professional journey in the realm of digital design, encompassing diverse areas such as web design, microsites, motion graphics, animations, infographics, and social media content. Although enjoyable, I found this line of work lacking fulfillment. Recognizing the need for change, I sought an opportunity to contribute to projects that hold genuine meaning and make positive impacts on others' lives or work. This led me to the field of UX.
I discovered my passion for conducting comprehensive research to identify the core challenges users face, devise effective solutions, and make data-driven decisions. I thrive when there is autonomy and collaboration with fellow designers, software engineers, and product owners. Additionally, I have been fortunate enough to share my experiences and insights by mentoring junior designers and fostering their growth and development.
I like to focus on continual learning and growth in both the professional and personal aspects of my life.
Throughout 11 years in the design field, I have been involved in diverse projects encompassing internal tools, B2B, and B2C initiatives. However, my true passion lies in working on customer-facing products, where I am empowered to build delightful user experiences.
Outside of Work
Outside of work, I am a dog mum to Cookie. I like to cook and bake for my partner and my dog. I love binging on good shows. Some of my forever favourites are, The Office, Parks and Recs, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I read fantasy/sci fi books (brandon sanderson!), Sherlock Holmes or other classic stories in my spare time.
I love mobile apps, so even though I’m no longer working in that space, I work on mobile apps under Impromptu Apps.
Freebies!
Thanks for reading! If you are an iOS user, I have an iMessage sticker set for you! And if you are an Android user, YAPPS and I worked on a silly little soundboard for you to have a play with. Enjoy!
P.S. Sometimes I also collaborate with others for fun side projects! If you are keen to collaborate, give me a shout!
